As an Integration Engineer, you will design, build, and own the complex systems that connect our platform to healthcare infrastructure. This is a high-ownership role where you shape integration strategy, work from first principles, and ensure production reliability across critical workflows.

What You'll Be Doing
Design, build, and maintain integration systems that connect the platform to hospital, clinic, and EHR systems.
Map and understand complex, undocumented systems to create reliable integration solutions.
Take end-to-end ownership of production systems, including incident response and runbooks.
Mentor team members through thoughtful code reviews and knowledge sharing.
Contribute to and build on open-source software as part of integration solutions.
Document architecture decisions and technical trade-offs clearly for the team and stakeholders.

What We're Looking For
5+ years of hands-on backend engineering experience in production environments.
Strong backend fundamentals: queues, async patterns, error handling, and observability.
Experience with PostgreSQL and MongoDB, including schema design and query optimisation.
Comfort with ambiguity and ability to make decisions without complete specifications.
Intellectual curiosity about Node.js and Python ecosystems.
Direct, clear communication skills for team and cross-functional collaboration.

Nice to Have
Experience in healthcare technology or EHR integration.
Contributions to open-source projects or experience maintaining shared libraries.

Compensation & Benefits
$100,000 – $180,000 salary depending on experience.
Fully remote with flexibility for Latin America-based candidates.
