Key Responsibilities Architecture & Design Propose and design technical solutions aligned with evolving business requirements Define APIs, data models, and service boundaries for new and existing features Participate in architectural discussions related to system modernization and cloud migration Development & Delivery Implement new functionality primarily in C# (.NET 6+), with a strong focus on backend services Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and background processing services Contribute to front-end functionality using JavaScript and modern web technologies as needed Write clean, testable, and well-documented code System Modernization Refactor legacy components to improve scalability, performance, and maintainability Support migration toward cloud-native and microservices-based architectures Identify and address technical debt proactively Operations & Reliability Investigate and resolve production issues to ensure high availability Improve system observability, error handling, and operational stability Support post-release monitoring and maintenance of production systems Technical Challenges You’ll Tackle High-throughput transaction processing during peak usage periods Complex integrations with external platforms and service providers Data consistency and integrity across distributed systems Gradual transformation of a mature platform without service disruption Collaboration & Ways of Working Work in an Agile/Scrum environment with iterative development cycles Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers (backend, frontend, QA), and infrastructure teams Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and code reviews Contribute to shared technical standards and internal documentation Required Skills & Experience Core Requirements Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals and SDLC Experience building and operating mission-critical systems with high transaction volumes Solid knowledge of web application security and data protection best practices Hands-on experience with system operations and post-deployment support Application Development 5+ years of professional experience with C# Strong backend experience using ASP.NET Web API, MVC, .NET Framework, or .NET Core Production experience with .NET 6 or newer Practical knowledge of SOLID principles Working knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS Database & Persistence Experience with MS SQL Server and advanced T-SQL Familiarity with ORMs such as Entity Framework and Dapper Cloud & Infrastructure Experience developing applications in a cloud environment Hands-on exposure to at least one major public cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP) Soft Skills Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset Ability to take initiative and work proactively in a team setting Willingness to mentor junior engineers and share knowledge Comfortable working in a diverse, multicultural environment Preferred (Nice-to-Have) Experience CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, TeamCity, Octopus, GitHub Actions Containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) Messaging and asynchronous systems (Service Bus, RabbitMQ) Microservices design and implementation Experience with MariaDB, MySQL, or similar databases Exposure to Kafka or other event/stream processing platforms Prior experience acting as a Scrum Master or team facilitator
