Software Engineer - Backend & Data

We are hiring on behalf of our client who is seeking a skilled Software Engineer - Backend & Data. The organization analyzes over 20 billion search signals to predict the next major consumer trends, enabling brands to optimize their marketing and product development strategies. In this role, the successful candidate will help design and implement the next iteration of the data pipeline, storage solutions, and APIs backing a high-traffic SaaS platform. This is a remote, full-time contractor position open to qualified candidates located within Europe, operating with a high degree of autonomy.

Experience: Minimum of 3 years of professional software engineering experience, specifically focused on backend development and ETL pipelines for web applications. Data Expertise: Proven experience collecting, cleaning, structuring, and analyzing large, complex data sets. Technical Stack: High proficiency in Python, Pandas, and SQL. Location: Must be physically located and working within Europe (with capability to align with required operational time zones). Core Competencies: Strong deductive reasoning and problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to understand hierarchical data relationships and identify logic gaps. Execution: Self-starter mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently across different timescales. Communication: Exceptional written and oral communication skills.

Compensation: €60,000 to €80,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.
