At SiteGround we are currently in a high-growth phase, expanding our software engineering teams as we are scaling our own suite of products. This is a Remote-friendly role, with occasional company-covered visits to our headquarters in Sofia. This role is for people who like the “product + engineering” intersection: you’ll work on backend systems where small architectural choices show up immediately in UX, cost, latency, reliability, and safety. A key part of everyday work: we actively use and integrate the major model ecosystems—OpenAI, Google (Gemini), and Anthropic—and you’ll regularly make pragmatic decisions around model choice, routing, fallback strategies, and evaluation.

In the role of Python Engineer, you’ll build and evolve the Python services behind our AI experiences — most notably AI Studio and Coderick AI. You’ll help build the APIs and infrastructure that make AI features fast, scalable, and dependable.

Typical problems you’ll help solve: Turning “cool demo” flows into repeatable product behavior; Making LLM-powered features observable (tracing, metrics), debuggable, and safe; Balancing cost vs. quality vs. latency, with real traffic patterns; Building reliable tool-calling / agent workflows, and integrating external systems

3+ years of professional Python experience (or equivalent strong track record); Solid engineering fundamentals: clean code, testing, reliability, and performance; Experience building production web services with FastAPI (or similar framework); Good working knowledge of SQL and experience with PostgreSQL (or another RDBMS); Comfortable with Python packaging/dependency management; Hands-on curiosity and experience integrating LLMs (personal or professional); Familiarity with Linux environments, VMs, and shell scripting; Clear communication and a collaborative mindset (AI + platform + product)
