GenAI Platform / DevOps Engineer

We are EDEKA IT – the IT expert of the EDEKA Group. We develop, implement, and support the digital business processes of EDEKA across all retail levels. At EDEKA, Artificial Intelligence is no longer a future topic – it is production-ready. Over the past two years, our AI team (within the Data & Analytics division) has successfully launched various AI use cases and established a highly scalable GenAI platform. As we continue to scale, we are separating our engineering disciplines to achieve maximum performance. We are now looking for an experienced Platform and DevOps specialist to build, scale, and automate our enterprise GenAI Platform and infrastructure.

Education & Experience: Successfully completed degree with an IT focus, or a comparable qualification, combined with several years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Cloud Infrastructure.

Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Outstanding expertise in Terraform and a strong belief in "GitOps" principles.

Multi-Cloud Expertise: Deep hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services.

CI/CD & Containerization: Strong experience with GitHub Actions, Docker, and orchestrating containerized workloads.

Database & Middleware knowledge: Experience in setting up and tuning relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL (experience with PgVector is a huge plus).

Familiarity with the GenAI Tech Stack: Ideally, you have experience with, or a strong interest in, tools like LiteLLM, API gateways, and model routing layers.

Scripting Skills: Solid proficiency in scripting languages (such as Python or Bash) to build automation tooling.

Mindset: You are automation-driven, value security and stability, and love building robust systems that "just work."

Language Skills: Fluent English, German language skills are considered an advantage
