This is the CEO's strategic right hand, and the person responsible for rebuilding how the business runs on AI. The Chief of Staff operates at the intersection of business priorities and day-to-day execution, translating vision into action, managing cross-functional dependencies, and making sure nothing falls through the cracks at the leadership level. Just as importantly, this person is coming in to build AI systems from the ground up: setting up agents, automating workflows, and designing new operational structures that let the business run leaner and faster. This is not 'use AI tools when convenient'. This is building the operating layer of the company around AI, then running the business through it. This is not a task-doer role. This is the person who thinks three steps ahead, manages up and down, and ensures the whole machine, increasingly an AI-augmented one, is pointed in the right direction.

5+ years in a Chief of Staff, Head of Operations, or senior business management role (startup or founder-led business experience strongly preferred). Hands-on AI builder, not just a user: comfortable setting up AI agents, building custom skills and projects, and wiring automation between tools rather than waiting for someone else to build it. Strategic thinker who can also roll up their sleeves when needed. Exceptional communicator, written and verbal; can influence without authority. Deeply comfortable with ambiguity and rapid context switching. Strong track record of building systems that outlast their creator. Not easily destabilised, holds the line calmly under pressure.
