About The Role

We are looking for a Product Designer to refactor, scale, and govern our existing Design System into a robust, enforceable multibrand product platform, supporting multiple products and devices (web, mobile, and digital kiosks). This role sits at the intersection of Design, Engineering, and AI tooling. You will transform our current Design System into a scalable, enforceable product infrastructure that:

• Reduces design and engineering rework
• Protects brand and UX coherence at scale
• Accelerates delivery through reusable primitives
• Enables AI-assisted workflows without quality degradation

You will partner with a dedicated Engineering platform team to ensure design primitives are implemented in production and adopted across squads.

The role begins fully focused on Design Systems. Once governance and foundations are stabilised, it transitions to a 50/50 model: maintaining system ownership while embedding in product squads to stress-test and evolve it in real contexts.

Proven experience refactoring and scaling an existing Design System.
Experience working with dedicated DS engineering counterparts.
Strong systems thinking and UI craft.
Experience defining governance and enforcing standards.
Strong understanding of HTML/CSS/JS capabilities and limitations.
Knowledge about cross-browser compatibility challenges as well as hands-on experience on crafting semantic HTML structures using the latest best practices is highly valued.
Experience defining scalable token architecture and automated distribution pipelines.
Portfolio demonstrating Design System work (production impact required).
