One of our clients is hiring for an Operations Manager to oversee slag plant operations, driving productivity, efficiency, and customer service performance. This role plays a key leadership function in managing plant operations, achieving financial targets, and supporting long-term operational strategy. Key Responsibilities: Partner with plant leadership to develop and execute operational goals and long-term strategies; Translate business objectives into measurable targets and ensure execution; Oversee daily plant operations and provide direction to managers; Drive productivity, efficiency, and cost optimization initiatives; Support P&L performance through operational improvements and resource optimization; Participate in budgeting and monitor operational costs and financial performance; Analyze KPIs, cost drivers, and operational data to identify improvement areas; Lead and support capital expenditure (capex) projects from planning to execution; Develop capital plans to enhance productivity and control costs; Support mineral reserve identification and assist in negotiations; Promote safety, environmental compliance, and regulatory adherence; Foster a high-performance, safety-first culture across operations. Ideal Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Business, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience); 7+ years of operations or production management experience in construction materials or similar industries; Strong experience managing plant operations, cost control, and performance metrics; Knowledge of budgeting, financial analysis, and P&L management; Experience leading teams and driving operational improvements; Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace tools; Strong leadership, analytical, and decision-making skills; Experience with capital projects and process optimization preferred.
