Quality Assurance Engineer

• Key Responsibilities
• Manual & Exploratory Testing: Perform hands-on manual testing (functional, regression, integration, and UAT) to identify edge cases, usability issues, and scenarios that automation may not cover.
• Automation Development: Design, develop, and maintain scalable automated test suites using Playwright with TypeScript to support continuous integration and rapid regression testing.
• Agile Collaboration: Work as an embedded member of an agile scrum team—participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, and retrospectives. Ensure quality is considered from story refinement through deployment.
• Test Planning: Review requirements and user stories early; define test strategies, write test cases, and provide effort estimates that align with sprint goals.
• Defect Management: Identify, document, and track defects clearly using [Azure DevOps / etc.], and partner with developers to resolve them efficiently.
• Critical Thinking: Apply strong analytical skills to assess complex features, identify risks, and propose improvements to prevent defects and improve testability.

• Required Qualifications
• Experience: 3–4 years of professional QA experience, with a balanced background in both manual and automation testing.
• Automation: Proven experience with Playwright and TypeScript. You should be comfortable building automation frameworks, writing maintainable tests, and debugging failures.
• Manual Testing: Strong foundation in manual testing techniques, including test case design, boundary value analysis, and exploratory testing.
• Agile Mindset: Experience working in agile environments (Scrum, Kanban, or similar) with a solid understanding of agile principles and how QA fits into iterative delivery.
• Critical Thinking: Ability to think beyond test cases—analyzing root causes, asking thoughtful questions, and advocating for quality throughout the development lifecycle.
• Tools: Familiarity with version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.), and test management tools.

• Nice to Have
• Experience with API testing (Postman, REST Assured) or performance testing.
• Familiarity with cloud testing platforms (BrowserStack, Sauce Labs) or containerization (Docker).
• ISTQB or other QA certifications (not required, but a plus).
