The Senior Quality Assurance Engineer will be a key member of the clients software team. This person will own the entire quality strategy end-to-end from unit and integration testing to E2E and LLM-specific validation. This role is a coding and test-engineering position first with real influence on architecture, delivery, and release decisions. You will work closely with backend, AI/ML, product, and leadership teams to embed quality into how we build and ship software, without slowing down the innovation. You will build automated tests spanning unit, integration, API, UI, full E2E flows, and LLM evaluation benchmarks reporting to the Director of Software Engineering.

Required Skills and Experience: Education and Experience: A B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field. 5+ years of experience in QA or Quality Engineering, including senior or lead roles, ideally as an early or first QA hire in a startup or scale-up environment. Strong technical and backend testing expertise: Hands-on experience with unit testing, API and integration testing, test automation frameworks, and modern CI/CD practices. Preferably experience working with Python, FastAPI and Azure. Systems-level thinking and engineering judgment: Ability to reason about complex, AI-related SaaS systems, balance trade-offs, and influence architecture and product decisions from a quality perspective. LLM / AI testing experience: Hands-on experience testing LLM-powered features, including basic prompt evaluation, expected-output or rule-based checks, regression testing across prompt or model changes, and familiarity with simple automated LLM benchmarks. Communication skills: Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential. Must be a skilled mentor for QA engineers joining the team as the company grows, and a natural communicator who can articulate complex technical concepts clearly to a diverse group of stakeholders, from engineers to the board of directors.
